On Love: As swiftly as it sweeps you off your feet it drops you heart first, landing in a trillion pieces for your brain to pick up and pull together

It wasn't the words that were said rather the tone of voice speaking. Sweet, unguarded, warm, kind. He let her see his inner world in these moments and the light came back to her eyes. Infinite heaviness lifted from her heart. With soft kisses he let her see him, he let her in. And all she wanted was more. Though her reaction was delayed in realizing how big this was. How big his love for her had always been. She was zoomed in on the short individual brush strokes of unmixed color. While those alone held their own beauty, it wasn't until she stepped back from the work that she could take in the whole in all its majesty. The way he saw light and how he reflected it. Her impatience was of no use. This required slowing down, opening the aperture, and accepting the entirety. That was the only way to see.
